58. Obituary, DILLARD, GENE BRANDYWINE, MD. -- Gene Dillard, 61, formerly of Bristol Virginia, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998, in Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, Maryland. He was a carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Betty Burns Dillard; one daughter, Debbie Dillard, St. Petersburg, FL; one stepdaughter, Shelly Carter, Mechanicsville, MD; two sons, Michael Dillard and David Dillard, both of St. Petersburg, FL; one sister, Geraldine South, Forsythe, GA; five brothers, Fred Dillard, Bristol TN, Jess D. Dillard, Bristol VA, Harmon Dillard and Larry Dillard, both of Bluff City, and Carson Mitchell, Johnson City; and 11 grandchildren. Service and burial will be held Thursday in Waldorf, MD.
