Grimsley Family Cemetery, Springfield

While walking around looking at this cemetery, I noticed stone placed at the base of practically every tree.
Some of the stones were obviously grave markers but I'm not sure if all of them were or if some were just decoration.
I'm betting this was a beautiful cemetery at one time.
